Specialist boys’ training

Boys dance too.

From a first class to ambitions of a professional career, we help boys build strong technique, confidence and friendships. Many of our male alumni now work across the performing arts industry—and every boy who dances for enjoyment is equally valued.

LHTS is a family-run dance and performing arts school in Leighton Buzzard, founded by Leanne Hughes in 2002.

Some children come for the joy of a weekly class. Others want to take their training further. We value both, helping students develop their technique, creativity and performance skills.

Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing — Registered Member

We teach the ISTD syllabus in Ballet, Tap and Modern. Examinations are encouraged, but optional.

Every member of our teaching team has trained with Leanne Hughes, with most beginning their dance journeys here at LHTS. Together, they bring professional expertise and a shared connection to the school, creating a welcoming family atmosphere for the next generation.

Celebrating our dancers: Fountain of Youth was awarded 1st runner-up at the All England Dance Finals 2026. We celebrate that dedication alongside every student’s progress, whether they compete or simply love coming to class. Meet our All England finalists.
