'Jazz dance is an exciting and diverse dance form that is often associated with cabaret and musical theatre, however its influence has broadened out to areas such as music videos and concerts. Our jazz classes work on strengthening technique by focusing on conditioning, corner work drills, kicks, leaps, turn and choreography'.
We offer Jazz classes to all pupils ages 5 and above at 4 levels from beginners to advanced.
'Contemporary dance is a very expressive style that rejects the rigid and more centred aspect of classical forms of dance, and instead incorporates unconventional movements from styles around the world. It merges certain elements of ballet, modern and jazz and encourages a sense of freedom using breath, unpredictable and contrasting rhythms, directions, and postures and floor work'.
We offer Contemporary classes at multiple levels to our ballet and jazz pupils who have reached and are taking classes Grade 2 standard upwards.
'Commercial refers to the style of dancing often performed in concerts, live shows, music videos, movies, industrials and obviously commercials. There are many different styles of dance that can be worked into the commercial category, such as hip hop, jazz, street dance, locking and popping, breakdancing, krumping and more. Commercial dance is extremely good fun to do and super entertaining for audiences'.
We offer Commercial classes at two levels, from 7 years old.
